Eric A. van Venrooy, D.D.S.
I received my B.S. in mechanical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. As a mechanical engineer I designed and tested digital dental radiology systems at the U.S. Army Institute of Dental Research. After a nine year career in research, I attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. My dental school honors include: induction into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honors Society, the Pierre Fauchard Academy award, the Academy of Gold Foil Operators restorative award, the Quintessence research award, and a second place award for my research presentation at the National American Dental Association meeting in 1994. I am a current member of the Maryland State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. I serve as the history and heritage lead for the Delaware section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Originally from Media, Pennsylvania, I have been visiting Cecil County regularly since I was five years old. I was thrilled to be able to return to the area to practice dentistry full-time in 1996. I currently live in New Castle County, DE with my wife, Anita Sgrignoli, M.D., and our two children.
